An album of snapshot photography following a day's labor in an industrial bakery, then an evening of ribald drinking in a nightclub with co-workers. Anonymously compiled, though the locations, "Plantation Bakery" and "Blue Suede Shoes," each appear to have been located in Lake County, Illinois (the former in Lake Bluff, the latter with several locations spread through Chicagoland at the time, another club shown in photos, the "Moonlight Inn" appears to have been located in North Chicago in '91).

Apart from two keepsake studio portrait photographs, the album is singular, documenting a day in the life of a diverse group of white and latino working-class Chicago suburbians on May 31, 1991.

[Photo Albums]. AT PLANTATION BAKERY AND BLUE SUEDE SHOES, MAY 31, 1991 [Interior Title - Original Photograph Album]. [Lake County, Illinois]: (1991). 4to. Commercial sticky-page photo album. Red vinyl over boards with gilt border design to front. 10 card leaves with plastic overlays holding 47 color snapshot photographs to rectos and versos. Prints firmly adhered to album pages. With some mild toning about leaves, otherwise very good.
