A manuscript ledger book recording the accounts of the St. James Co-Operative Association, community Grange No. 1519 of the National Grange Order of the Patrons of Husbandry (inferred from the large "P. of H" inked to the interior title), located in St. James, Missouri, a tiny city in the central-southeast portion of the state about 100 miles southwest of St. Louis and about 10 miles east of Rolla. 

Entries document individual member accounts and those of the Co-op as a whole, producing an uncommon primary source record of Granger activities in rural Missouri.

Approximately 12 1/2" x 8." 218 numbered pages. Ruled blank ledger leaves about full with manuscrirpt entries. Moderate handling wear from use, some occasional stray doodling in a child's hand, overall volume sound, appears complete. Good overall.
