The 1933 third edition of Findlay Muirhead's pocket guide to London with the scarce first issue of Harry Beck's iconic map of the London Underground (750M 1-33) tipped-in between pp. 254-255. Color lithograph map with two vertical folds, approximately 6" x 8 3/4" and about fine.

London ; Paris: Ernest Benn Limited / Librairie Hachette, 1933. Third Edition. 270pp. Approximately 6 1/4" x 4 1/2." Blue cloth over flexible boards. Stamped gilt title lettering to spine. Two cloth marker ribbons, red and blue. Top page edge brown. Without dust jacket. With all maps present including tipped-in MAP OF LONDON'S UNDERGROUND RAILWAYS. Front board with a pronounced vertical crease and staining at upper right. Pencil gift inscription to half-title page. Overall volume sound, about good-plus. Maps about fine.
