A vernacular snapshot album, about half occupational, half family views, compiled by a John L. Hunter who seems to have been an itinerant laborer with a Chicago-based railroad welding firm called Teleweld.

Named locations of work images include Haslett, Michigan ; Monroe, Michigan ; Lyon Mountain, New York ; and Carlton, Minnesota. Named railroads include the Delaware and Hudson, Northern Pacific, Pennsylvania, Green Bay and Western, and Grand Trunk.

Various, including Michigan, New York, and Minnesota: [ca. 1929-1934]. 12 1/2" x 9 1/2." 16 black paper leaves holding 48 black and white snapshot photos in corner mounts. 5 additional prints loose. Generous notation to pages in white album pen. Loose prints each with neat ink notations to versos. Several prints appear perished. Binding string perished and replaced by us. Overall good.
